How can we work together?

Addictions Counseling

Merriam-Webster defines addiction as: “exhibiting a compulsive, chronic, physiological or psychological need for a habit-forming substance, behavior, or activity.”

I work with people who have habits in their lives that they don’t know how to change. Whether that is a nightly glass of wine, gambling, or eating to excess, I help my clients recognize their thought patterns and triggers that keep them performing these habitual behaviors. With awareness of these thought patterns, we have the ability to change our habits and create a more meaningful, intentional life.

I have helped clients successfully overcome:

  • Alcohol and drug abuse

  • Overeating

  • Social media addiction

  • Gambling

  • and more

Meditation

It all begins in the mind. By learning how to witness your thoughts, you will be able to change your repetitive thought patterns into a more positive inner narrative, and change your relationship with triggering external circumstances.

Meditation is not about stopping your thoughts, but simply bearing witness to what arises in the mind and redirecting your thoughts to the present moment. It is a tool to learn more about yourself and the inner workings of your mind.

Whether or not you have ever meditated before, and even if you feel you can’t do it, I will guide you on this inner journey in an accessible way starting with just a few minutes at a time.
